SPECIAL REGULATIONS: There is a mandatory 1-year waiting period for the Zone 2 Mule Deer hunt beginning with 2006 Zone 2 Mule Deer tag holders. 2008 Zone 2 Mule Deer tag holders ARE NOT eligible for Zone 2 Mule Deer tags until 2010. This waiting period DOES NOT APPLY TO THE ZONE 1 and 3B Mule Deer hunts.

There is a mandatory 5-year waiting period for the Zone 3A Mule Deer hunt beginning with 2009. 2009 Zone 3A Mule Deer tag holders ARE NOT eligible to apply for Zone 3A Mule Deer tags until 2015.

Rifle Hunters may hold either a Mule Deer tag OR a Unit 8 Trophy Deer tag OR a 55+ Deer tag, but ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO HOLD ANY COMBINATION OF THESE TAGS IN THE SAME YEAR.
LEGAL TAKING DEVICE:

Section R1. B

i.               Illegal calibers include but are not limited to the following: .22, .22 Magnum, 5mm, .222 and/or .22/250.   

ii.             Bows having a standard pull of 50 or more pounds using arrows with metal broadheads having no less than 7/8-inch width cutting edges. Mechanical broadheads of any type (broadheads having hinged/rotating blades) are prohibited.

iii.            Center fire handguns and handguns of caliber not less than .44 Magnum.
PERMIT COST: $20.00 Tag Cost and $5.00 Application Fee
OPEN AREAS: Reservation Zone for which tag is issued
